I will protect your pensions. Nothing about your pension is going to change when I am governor. - Chris Christie, "An Open Letter to the Teachers of NJ" October, 2009

Chris Christie: Divisive Hypocrite

(9:37) When you're trying to narrow people into corner, Jon, and call them names, it makes it much harder to get them to the table and compromise. And that's what we're supposed to be doing. People elected us to get things done, not to bloviate.
Pre-fleece Chris Christie:
"Scaring students in the classroom, scaring parents with the notes home in the bookbags, and the mandatory 'Project Democracy Homework' asking your parents about what they're going to do in the school board election, and reporting back to your teachers union representatives, using the students like drug mules to carry information back to the classroom, is reprehensible."
Click through for many more examples. The notion that Chris Christie merely gets angry at those who won't let him answer questions at a town hall is as dishonest as it gets. He has waged a systemic and personal war against teachers and their unions since 2010. The record is extensive and irrefutable.

There is one thing Chris Christie is counting on in 2013: that the people - particularly teachers - of New Jersey have very short memories.

Good luck with that.

You teachers didn't think I meant it when I said you were "greedy," did you?

I really hope someone makes a commercial of that Daily Show quote to the back drop of all the names he's called teachers and other public workers. Also, he doesn't compromise at all, he pokes his north jersey and south jersey political dem bosses to put pressure on the dems to vote his way. What a load of steaming crap!

Sadly, Christie's popularity rating is very high and he will most likely be re-elected, which makes me want to vomit. I won't vote for him ever and certainly did not vote for him initially.
