But even last week, the governor said that Rutgers University – a state institution – has a right to determine how much it wants to spend on its football program and that it’s not his place as governor to question the multimillion-dollar salary and perk package given to Rutgers head football coach Greg Schiano. When it comes to state-sponsored football the governor is shy?
