I was moved, not only by his story and his words but by his delivery. What an impressive kid--and one of whom this country can indeed be very proud.
The only problem is that we also make people like those he was addressing.
Snarkiness aside, as I watch the news and worry about my son studying abroad in Israel, I am reminded that what makes us truly great is that Zach can address our government as he did, that we can have blogs like yours, and that we can redress our grievances, debate, and correct our laws and leaders as we seek to perfect this government of, by, and for the people with civility and in safety.
