It's about time. Now maybe the NJEA will get its act together, though I doubt it. Teachers around here (very south) who have been teaching a few years and make around $40K per year are terrified and there is lots of talk of alternate careers because they fear that they will still be making $40K in about 35 years....

Why would they stay? It will be 1982 again soon enough - lots of complaints about teachers not making enough.
