Can Geoffrey Canada Read?

I ask whenever I hear him say things like this:
The evidence keeps mounting that America is no longer a leader when it comes to educating its children. The perilous situation is exposed with each new report on the data. The National Assessment of Educational Progress shows little improvement over the decades.
Yeah, uh... no.

A rule of thumb for the NAEP is that 10 points equals a year of learning. If so, we've had an explosion in mathematics learning over the last to decades. Reading's less impressive but still heading upward.

Can Geoffrey Canada read these graphs?
