The Continuing Destruction of the NJ Teaching Corps

It continues:
"It used to be I would be proud to tell people I was a teacher. Now, it's a conversation-stopper in many places," Henderson said. The Delran resident grew up in Moorestown and has taught there for the past eight years of her 13-year teaching career.
Moorestown resident Deborah Atherholt, 62, who teaches Latin at Allen Middle School, is bewildered.
"All of a sudden, we've been labeled the enemy for doing the jobs we've done forever," Atherholt said. The 35-year teaching veteran has spent the last 22 of them in Moorestown.
In less than a year, Christie has done damage to the profession so severe it will take at least a decade, if not more, to overcome it.

Lasting destruction to gain political points and push through a domestic agenda for the powerful. Sound familiar?
